Melody Brown started singing almost as early as she started talking. Throughout her childhood and teens she performed at festivals, churches, theaters and private gatherings in southeastern North Carolina and eastern Kentucky. In college, Melody studied both vocal and theatrical performance, performing in nightclubs, local theatre productions and secular bands throughout North Carolina.

In the mid 1990’s, in response to a growing unrest in her heart, Melody rededicated her life to Christ and refocused her performing gifts,

seeking to spread the word of Jesus' love and saving grace wherever doors might open.

 

 

 

 

 

Melody’s clear vocals, lyric interpretation and deep sense of compassion are particularly well-suited to "story songs" that highlight the experiences and emotions of everyday people. She plays guitar, performing original songs, ballads and unique versions of the old sweet standards. But in the right venue, Melody promises to bust loose in powerful, rafter-raising songs that glorify the mighty and wonderful God she serves.

 

Melody Brown makes her home with husband Steve (her sound tech, stage crew, true love and best friend). They have two daughters, one son-in-law, two dogs, a cat, and an ever-growing flock of chickens.  Don't be surprised if Steve tries to sell you some farm-fresh eggs. Mmmm-mmmm-good!
